Progress Report

2 weeks to the pre-release of Dissension. We've been trying to acquire some cards which we think will be useful once it releases i.e. the price will skyrocket.

So have we succeeded? I think we did well. We've managed to get almost all the cards we want to get - and below market price too. :)

Cards left to acquire: 3 Keiga, the Tide Star, 3 Threads of Disloyalty.

For a couple of noob players I think we have quite a collection of Top Deck cards man. Terence says our collection is well above 1000 dollars. In otherwords, we actually have a net profit for the collection already should we ever sell the cards. Moreover, the prices will continue to rise as the cards retire as they become harder and harder to find.

Whoever said trading cards are a losing investment obviously hasn't been paying much attention. I've seen traders who specialise in selling these cards and are making a living off it. I think we've learnt a lot from playing Magic. Believe me, getting the cards you want at dirt cheap prices and maintaining vendor relationships (especially when the vendors are at each other's throats) is not as easy as you may think. Taking each loss in stride isn't easy either.

Basically, I think we've made awesome progress so far.
