Saturday Skirmishes

Ahoy mates! It's my first tournament at CKT and guess what?! I got lucky!!! Yah! I managed to enter top 8 for the first time!!

My first match was against a modified wildfire-annex deck. At least that's what I think it was. He had Wildfire, Annex and Wrath of God as well as Yosei, the Morning Star. I lost the first round cos' I couldn't draw any of my key cards. No Jitte, no Specter no Mortify. The 2nd round I won. After that there was only 5 mins left so we decided on a draw. He asked if I sideboarded the above cards, I told him no, I just couldn't draw them in the first round.

So not bad a start I guess. My next match was against Dickon. He used an aggro deck with Kudzu and the dragons. I managed to pull off a 2-0 victory thanks to Specter and Shadow of Doubt.

My 3rd match was against a Mizzet-Draw deck. I lost the first round, won the 2nd and won the 3rd round. I got lucky I guess, he got mana-screwed for 2 rounds.

My final match was an intentional draw. And I entered top 8 for that tournamanet! For the first time man! I'm damn happy. Lol!

Terence and Joseph were there to play too. Terence managed to enter the top 10 and Joseph was one of the top 4 if I'm not wrong. We did pretty well I think considering it's our first time there.

I hope we can keep up the good results.
