Friday Night Magic

Alright man! I got my 2nd top 8!! I'm so freaking ecstatic right now! Well, actually I'm really really tired, but still ecstatic somewhat. :)

My frist match was against a red/green zoo deck. I managed to get Isamaru and Paladin-en-Vec as well as Jitte early so I managed to pull off a 2-0 victory.

My 2nd match was against an Owling Mine deck. This is the toughest match I have ever ever played! It was so difficult to be up against. Thank god I got lucky and managed to pull out the right cards at the right time. I managed to Castigate his Sudden Impact hence winning the first round. The 2nd round I won because of Terashi's Grasp. After the match the guy went around telling everyone how he lost to a 'Xiao di di' because he couldn't draw the right cards. Er... I dunno, but it's a little insulting, I mean, I had to sideboard in the right cards in the first place no? So at least cut me some slack.. oh well, whatever, I won 2-0.

My 3rd match was a disaster. I was up against a Hand-in-Hand Ultra-protection deck. Basically I was just being clobbered with Hand of Honors and Hand of Crueltys. That and me having 3 lands for 7 turns dug my grave. Lost 0-2.

I tried to get an I.D. for the 4th match but the player wanted to play. So alright, I played. He was using an Annex-Wildfire deck. I managed to pull off a 2-0 victory.

So with that I entered the top eight. And my opponent was Jerry! I lost 1-2. He won the first round easily. I won the 2nd but made too many mistakes in my 3rd play. Yup! I'm still noobish, and Jerry's an awesome player. No chance at all man... sighs...

So on the whole it was alright. I managed to win 2 boosters. Too bad the cards suck. I got one Avatar of Dischord and Stalking Vengeance.

I hope I can continue to win more than I lose.
