Yes.. i reaching 1650 soon but can i maintain my current points? haha hope so.. I have a great time last sat.. playing my beloved counterbalance deck at ckt for the last time.. it saddens me alot when i put jitte and sensei dividing top into my album. Lets hope tat in 2 years time.. i will be using them for extended :D

Recently time spiral has changed standard and extended alot.. Cards like call of the herd.. and the exorbitant psionic blast are some of the cards that are good and worth keeping :P i have formed a new deck. red green land D deck.. i followed the concept of sea stompy so this is not my idea lol.. is just a modified version of Sea stompy(without blue). It has char, avalanche rider, assualt//battery and call of the herd.. the engine of the deck is to cast a turn 2 ohran viper or call of the herd. :) and against control.. this deck can go for a turn 2 land destruction.. (with stone rain).

I also form a blue green deck with the same concept as sea stompy. It has psionic blast, mystic snake. The key cards for this deck is the same as the one above.. Turn 2 ohran viper or call of the herd... :) however.. i really can't find a substitue for psionic blast for the blue green deck.. i feel that psionic blast is essential for this deck. It serves as a removal and a finisher for this semi aggro deck. This deck has mystic snake to serve as counter spell.

Haha.. both decks have the same concept as sea stompy.. but as least i start to form decks of my own instead of netdecking. :P sigh.. should i get psionic blast? or should i not? i really wan to try out the blue green deck.. but i spent alot on cards like call of the herd already.. perhaps is time for me to wait and see.. Come on!! Psionic blast.. i really wan to own u.. :D

Stan... come out and plaY! lol form ur own deck.. and come out :P

Warning!

For whatever reason, whenever I visit this page my ZoneAlarmPro stops a pop-up called Budsinc from appearing. I've reviewd the source code etc but can't find the problem.

Blogspot has no technical support so I'm pretty much on my own. I tried posting on a help site but no one has any clues to solving the problem.

Apparently quite a few people have had this problem. It's not very harmful, as long as you run Firefox or anti-pop-up programmes it should be fine. If not, just don't click on the pop-up.

If you have any idea how to solve the problem feel free to post on the tagboard or the comments page to help. Thanks.

Time Spiral is changing the face of magic in more ways than one. I just saw this excerpt on the official product page.

"Starting with Time Spiral, there has been a change in how premium cards are distributed. Previously, premium cards replaced a card of the same rarity, so a premium rare would replace a standard rare, a premium uncommon would replace a standard uncommon, and a premium common would replace a standard common. In Time Spiral and in future sets, all rare, uncommon, and common premium cards will replace a standard common instead. It is now possible for there to be two rares in one pack: the standard rare card plus a premium rare (which replaces a standard common)."

This came from the Time Spiral product page. Time Spiral Product Page.

So with purple, you could possibly get a Time Spiral rare, a foil Time Spiral rare and a Timeshifted card which used to be rare.

Wizards have just made boosters that much more worth it.

Miscellaneous

i am back!!! lol after a few months of MIA.. i am back to blog again. Alot of things happened during these period of time. I fail to enter nationals (i wan my luck!!) but nevermind.. there is always next year.. :) and i learn alot during these few months of crazy FNM, Nationals qualifiers and CKT Sat tourney. First thing: Think!.. u must use ur fucking brain and think.. look at ur opponent mana, look at urs.. look at his fucking graveyard and then mine.. then try to think what he has in his hand.. this is freaking impt.. i always never think and end up losing badly.. 2nd: Play a deck u r familiar wiht.. this is very very impt. as u will make less mistakes when u play a deck u familiar with. 3rD: Pray hard that ur luck is with u at all times lol

Now my aim for this year!! Reach 1650 for DCI standard.. and play drafting lots.. time for me to venture into drafting more often.. and...decide what to play for extended. lol

Stan!! come back and play!! lol

Drafting

Well, Terence asked me to accompany him to Eric's to look for some cards. In the end, I got coerced by him and Daniel into playing Drafting. It's non-sanctioned and each player gets to keep one rare.

Well, all my rares suck. Lol! In the end I kept Spellithe Enforcer. But you know what? I won the draft! Yup! Surprisingly. Lol! I drafted a blue/black/white enchantment and removal deck.

Anyways, learnt a lot today. Terence and Daniel being more experienced showed me what were the good picks for drafting after the match. I shall forever remember Azorious Guildmage is better than Minister of Impediments. Lol!

Anyways, I'm just glad I didn't lose badly today. It boosted my confidence a little; and that means the world to me right now.

Miscellaneous

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have not been playing recently and Terence for whatever reason is unwilling to blog. *coughs*lazy*coughs*

Anyways, nothing from my front. I passed all the good stuff to Terence a while back. He's doing a great job. He has been consistantly entering the top 8 in FNM. I'm glad for him. Though I must admit, I am rather jealous that I'm not as good a player. Lol!

Well, things have changed quite a lot recently. Wizards is going for a price hike; the traders are selling cards at prices I never imagined possible; players are disappearing...

Ahh well, I honestly don't blame the players who disappear. Sometimes it can't be helped.

Well, congrats to Terence anyways! Job well done. Hope you continue to improve and kick ass. :)

Previews

Here are even more pictures from Time Spiral. I think it's definately not going to be a mono-coloured block.

All images are from here. There are mores images on that site. Including concept art sketches on Time Spiral.

It's shaping up to be an impressive block - at least from the art perspective.
